Writing and Reading since like 1973.
It Started Small . . . a poem about pancakes, a notebook full of dog names, a petition for more class field trips, and an award-winning story about picking out a pumpkin*.
And then it grew up and became promotional pieces, website copy, curriculum material and the occasional letter of complaint. Over time, it blossomed into two blogs, one completed manuscript for a novel (fingers crossed!), and informational and personal essays for Momfilter, Huffington Post, Thirty Two Magazine, Edina Magazine and more. I’ll write anywhere, anytime, reaching for scraps of paper in the middle of the night and tapping notes into my phone when I get desperate. I once wrote an entire essay on the back of a receipt (click on Writing Samples above and see if you can guess which one).
